Gods Comfort...

I needed to hear this today...

I have had some struggles this week, and I know that if I trust in God he is there... After watching this my problems don't mean much, when I watch this... Thank you Lord for showing this to me. Help me to see that my problems and hurts really don't mean a lot and to lift them up to you so that I can truly see the things around me that needs my help...

I have a great heart and love for children, my heart reaches out to kids, this brakes my heart and I lift them up in prayer...
I am so glad that God is always there for us, he is there when we ask him, he never leaves you alone...

I want to thank you all for your sweet prayers...

I urge you all to reach out to the hurting and lost... And show Gods love for those in need...

Dear Connie...
Your problems mean a lot to our Lord - they are important to Him! Big or small... I am praying for you!
Praying for the hurt, the lost the afflicted!

Connie,
You let HIM hold you and then HE will dry your tears. HE is with you.

I know about hurt in church. I am like you and have been bludgeoned by Christian leaders who were prideful and/or misguided.

You and I know that Jesus Christ is the only perfect man that ever walked this earth.

HE knew that we would hurt each other. HE knew and yet HE calls us to keep going in all of it, just like the apostle Paul, who was hurt by those who he served - Corinthians, Galations, etc.

You and I have been wounded horribly, but we are still standing for HIM! Praise GOD, we will not go away quietly!

I am praying for you!!

Fran told me I just had to come watch this. I was in the audience when Beth taped this at LOI with another blogger next to me. Two things really stood out to me:
1) Compelled by the love of Christ to look into the face of human suffering. I am dealing with loss, betrayal, rejection, and horrible dreams right now but Micah 7:8 - when I fall, I rise and when I sit in darkness, the Light comes. And it has been human kindness like Fran that God has used.
2. Beth's illustration of "Come Get Me" has so stayed with me. I find myself literally holding my hands out to God asking HIM to come and He is so coming for me!
This clip brought back so much for me what God has done and is doing and that I can trust HIM even in this! Thanks so much. What I remember about you is your faith. Bev

Connie,

I feel like I just need to do a post on my blog about "church abuse" or "hurts in the church" that I've had and I've seen happen that drive people away from GOD.

The the only thing the wounded see is a mean "church leader or member" saying they represent Christ.

Sometimes its not just pride or hurt feelings on the part of the wounded. Other times it's a deliberate wound from a leader, that should know better.

I'm going to dedicate the post to you if that is ok?

Praying for you, Sweetie!
Teri
